Welcome to the Trust Talk Sessions. Join a collective of former guests and I for a 19 day dive into Trust to celebrate 100 episodes of Trust your Sacred Feminine Flow. Each conversation offers an intimate glimpse into the challenges and precious moments experienced in our journey to trust.

Ruth is an author and female alchemist.

She grew up in a male-dominated world in the north of Ireland. Even as a girl she played with boys, as there were no other girls where she lived. Today she has three grown-up sons.

She is a woman who questions things. Growing up in a male world, she had many illusions about what a woman should be like – until she became an initiated Donna Divina – a divine woman. There she finally had a sense of coming home and belonging. She saw how a woman can be strong and also gentle, intuitive and close to nature, at home in the temple of her body. Her life changed a lot and the desire to work with women became clearer and clearer.

With her female coaching she helps women all over the world to encounter themselves and to reclaim their primal femininity. As the author of several books, it is important for her to introduce a new female role model into personal life, family, society and the world.

Joni
Welcome to the Trust Talk Sessions. I’m your host, Joni Advent Maher and I am honored and delighted to share with you Ruth Bleakley-Thiessen. She is an author and a coach and she was originally a guest on the podcast for episode 034, which was on the Power of Authenticity. So I highly recommend that if you haven’t listened to it yet. So Ruth is a coach for women all over the world and she helps them encounter themselves and reclaim their primal femininity. And I know she comes from a background of having grown up with all brothers and she has three sons. So coming from the world of the masculine, she is here to embrace and initiate women into their primal femininity. So welcome Ruth.

Ruth
Well, thank you Joni. It’s an honor and it’s an honor to be here with you and I’m so excited again to be here. Thank you.

Joni
Yeah, you, I am so grateful and glad to have you back because your, your episode was probably about two and a half to three years ago. So quite a lot has happened, I’m sure since then.

Ruth
Yes, quite a few things have been going on in my life since then. I seem to have deepened into my own femininity and now I’m taking an amazing initiation into the English speaking countries, initiating women into their primal femininity.

Joni
Mm. So can you say what, what is the aspect of our primal femininity? I’m very curious and drawn to know more about that. Those two words together I don’t always hear together. So primal femininity. What, what is that?

Ruth
Well, it’s basically all aspects of being a woman. When I went through the initiation, I can speak for myself first. I had the feeling that I really came into my body. There was something missing before that. It was like, as if I was disembodied. I had also had body shame and I always felt that I wasn’t enough. So when I went through this powerful initiation, it was like saying yes to life, to being the woman that I am, yes to my body and to my talents. It was total self-acceptance. And it was so powerful for me. I just knew that this was my way to, to bring this to other women in the English speaking countries.

Joni
Yes. Yes. So where have you been doing that? I mean, I know you’re saying in English speaking countries, but which those, have you been visiting?

Ruth
Ireland is where I come from. I was in Ireland at the beginning of the year before the Corona pandemic put an end to my plans. So I’ve been doing quite a lot online. It hasn’t really originally come from Germany and Italy, this initiation.

Joni: Yes.

Ruth
So we’ve been doing a lot of work where I live in Germany. I’s very huge movement here and it is so big and so powerful and so beautiful because it enables women to connect with each other and to live in with female values.

Joni: Yes.

Ruth
And we seem to be creating, we’re letting go of the old present and we’re moving into the new we’re making space for the new, we are developing a new paradigm where female values are important for us. Where female values go through our work, our life and also finances. Because we’ve been for the last 5,000 years we’ve been living in a masculine world. For example, men put a lot of different values on money than women do now. Now, we’re taking this in a completely different way and it is so beautiful.

Joni: Yes

Ruth: It is so easy.

Joni
Yes. And I would love to hear is that, is this initiation and experience impacting how trust it is operating for you in your life? So can you tell us about that?

Ruth
Yes, definitely. Because I think there comes a time in our lives as women where it becomes too painful not to trust our feminine nature. We try to put on different roles. We try to put on more male energy to make a way in this world. And it’s just not what we are. We are different than men. We have different energy bodies and we can’t do things the way men do. So when we learn to trust in the feminine side of us we become completely different. We trust in our intuition. Well we go through a lot of initiations in our life. We become a daughter then we are initiated into being a teenager when our menstruation starts, then many of us become mothers and then many of us lose the ability to reproduce and have children is another initiation we go to.

But an initiation into primal femininity takes us deep into trusting who we really are as woman, as the woman that we are. We find out exactly what our talents are so that we can work with them. We trust our bodies because our bodies don’t lie, our bodies can’t lie. We learn to have deep, deep trust in our bodies and in our sexuality. We learn, we learn to trust exactly what we want, what we need, what we desire, and we have completely healthy boundaries. There’s a lot of healing that takes place, obviously. It’s amazing.

Joni
So that has been your experience as well, that you have felt these shifts in terms of trusting more deeply your own essence and your own body?

Ruth
Yes. I now have definite trust in my feminine nature. Most definitely. Yeah. Because as you said before I grew up in a male world, with two brothers where I had not even a girl to play with then I have three sons. So I’ve always been

Joni: you have!

Ruth: I didn’t really know what it was like to be a woman, to tell you the truth.

Joni: How would you? Right! How could you?

Ruth
Yeah, I know. And even sometimes when I’m sitting in a woman’s circle, I think there’s a part missing. I didn’t know what it was like to play with girls and all of these kinds of games the girls do. I just never got to do them. But it was okay for me because I became very creative and very intuitive and this, of course, is what I needed in my life. So it was all okay the way it was. It’s just that there seemed to be something missing. And I always had a picture of how a woman should be and how a man should be. And it was completely wrong to tell you the truth.

Joni: Yes

Ruth
So it was like finding myself again and I see the changes in other women when they dive deep within to themselves and start to trust themselves and their femininity also. It’s so, so beautiful because they start radiating from the inside out. They start to shine and they start, sometimes they start to do completely different things in their lives. We’ve had women who have sold their houses and bought a van and traveled the world and now they’re living in completely different places. You follow your heart, you come out of your head and it’s a completely different way of living.

Joni
It is and it’s so much richer. It’s a much more lush and vibrant way to live, to be connected to our bodies and to the wisdom of our hearts and to the spirit as it expresses through our feminine form.  I am so with you on that one.

Ruth: Yes

Joni
I appreciate that. So is there anything else before we bring this to a close that feels like it just must be said about trust or your own journey?

Ruth
I think it’s just a choice you have to take to start trusting in yourself because when you take one step towards it, the universe will support you so much and take 100 steps with you.

Joni: Yes.

Ruth
You will find your right path then. And yes, I would like to invite you to take a look at the Donna Divina website and take a look and see the movement that we are bringing through, the world, it’s donna-divina.com and you will find everything there.

Joni: Wonderful. And we have that in the show notes so listeners can look it up that way.

Ruth: Thank you.

Joni
You’re very welcome. And thank you for taking the time to be with us, Ruth, and for really being a voice of, of giving permission, giving permission that yes, it’s, it’s okay both being a role model and someone who’s saying it’s okay to trust your feminine nature. So I want to just express my gratitude to you for that.

Ruth
Well, thank you so much and I give this straight back at you. Thank you so much. Congratulations on your hundredth podcast. It’s wonderful.

Joni: Yes, thank you. It is. It’s fun and it’s quite an accomplishment.

 Ruth: Yes.

Joni
So we also want to thank you, dear listener, for being with us today and as always to remind you to trust what your heart knows.
