Welcome to the Trust Talk Sessions. I am your host, Joni and I am delighted to welcome back my recent guest, Sarah Weiss. Sarah is the founder of Spirit Heal Institute and the Enlightened Empath Training Program. She initiates and helps cultivate self-empowerment an awakened heart and trust worthy intuition in her clients and students. She’s a “practical mystic” and a recognized teacher in the Sufi path, the Andean Q’ero tradition and the Taoists lineage. Sarah is a healer, spiritual mentor, medical intuitive and retreat guide, illuminating the path for those who are called to discover the light, depth and power of their heart. So glad to be back with you, Sarah.
Sarah
Hi Joni. Thank you. It’s always wonderful to be with you and thank you for the centering and grounding little meditation we did before this. When we talk about trust, it’s really wonderful to know that you have your people that can help you come back to yourself. And for me, finding those people and trusting that it’s okay that they helped me is one of my leading edges in terms of trust.
Joni
I so appreciate you saying that and bringing that piece in. And, and can you share with our listeners the statement that you made when we were attuning and meditating together? Cause I thought that was so powerful.
Sarah
Well, it’s very easy for me to come back and believe that I have to find trust only within myself. And I’ve kind of been, you know, in my life, been on the edge of, of society with everything I’ve done. And so learning to trust the we in addition to the i has been one of my leading edges. And it’s really interesting how that’s been coming about because I’m initiating a podcast series and even though I have a master’s degree and telecommunications, I know my topic in and out the podcast tech stuff has just beat me down today. So today’s trust issue is to trust that everything will come back around and it’s okay to just breathe into it and let things work themselves out. That’s, that’s okay. So I’m enjoying coming back into that space right now.
Joni
Wonderful. And I, part of what I’m hearing in your naming of this is it’s just the place of whether it’s vulnerability or uh, yeah, I’m just going to stick with that. The vulnerability of not knowing the vulnerable vulnerability of things going in a way other than we had intended and, and feeling at a loss of how to tend to I think.
Sarah
Yes, And the amazing thing is, you know that trust exercise that they’ll have you doing a lot of organizational development things where you lean back and someone has to catch you. This is another version of that for me. Because struggling to be seen and recognized for who I am as a light, being an intuitive being an empathic being has been an issue for me. And people have not generally been able to meet me where I am at and where I need my greatest support. They project what they know of as support and they may not know the type of sensitivities that I have. And so learning that there are people that can lead me in that place and see me, know me and really truly provide the kind of support that I need is an amazing feeling.
Joni
Mmm, I absolutely agree with you. I agree with you because I share some of that cutting edge of how I would describe it is having trust in something greater, and my ability to access that and then take action through myself. But it is in that we and it is in both the humanity and the coming together with other people. That has been a bigger challenge.
Sarah
I would say yes, it’s easier for me to trust Mother Earth and Father Sun than it might be to trust a friend to be able to meet me where I’m at at any moment. It actually is easier for me. I learned early on that I had a very trustworthy partner and, and that I was held in the heart of Mother Earth very early in my life and it was, that was my saving grace. I mean that’s what allowed me to actually be comfortable here on earth. And so I always turn there first and just, you know, in the last couple of years actually opening up to the possibility that I can trust other people more than I have in the past has, has been coming through for me, which is huge. It’s huge.
Joni: It is huge. And it can be such a rich experience to be met in that way.
Sarah
Yes. Because I’m coming from a multidimensional place and I’m used to meeting people in more of a one dimensional place and I loved the intimacy of multi-dimensional connection where we live in our light and our light weaves together first. Our higher beings are in conversation we’re united in the sense of the oneness of all beings. And then the earth part comes together for me and it’s really a very intimate and lovely way to be, to be. I just don’t get the opportunity to do it that often with people.
Joni
Yes. I will say that. My sense is that we are being called into greater community and unity and, or communion in that way. And that as those of us that are, that have all been, I would say, kind of hanging back with our own intimate connection with Spirit or through the earth, that, that now that we’re stepping forward and kind of saying, me too, I’m here, here and looking around seeing who else is here and which is part of how you and I came together. It’s just that risking both of us in risking coming forward and saying, yes, this is, this is an aspect of who I am and, and I’m going to be a voice for this. It is a way that we can come together with other kindred souls or spirits.
Sarah
It is Joni, and walking this path with you has been lovely. I appreciate you very much. And I feel that today it might be one of those days where I kind of hang out the laundry. It’s just, it’s been a tough couple of days, so I’m feeling that’s a little shaky. So coming back and being together with you and the listeners feels like home to me. I can feel how the people that you’ve attracted to your circle feel like home beings for me and filled with light. So it’s helping recenter me.
Joni
Yes. I would say filled with light and also with loving, compassionate hearts because I believe that we can have all the light on the light in the world, but if it’s not connected to the heart or compassion it isn’t as trustworthy or compelling for me.
Sarah
I agree. And it, it comes back to remembering that we have this real huge resource of self love that we forgot about within ourselves, so that the idea of trusting and other people and their condition at heart helps me come back to my own compassionate heart. And I feel the safest when I can feel that bubble of self love that can open up. Sometimes it’s a little hard to pry open, gets a little hardened at times and you need that cosmic can opener. But when we do, then wow, we get to sit in that Universal Love and a Universal Wisdom, which is the deepest type of trust because it’s a sense within ourselves, no one else can see it. They don’t touch it. Trusting that we have, that inner resource is one of the biggest trust factors there is.
Joni
Yes, yes. Oh, I can feel the cascade of that just as you’re, as you’re saying that like this cascade of, of the light both within and kind of enveloping me. So this is a really good opportunity for you to share about the generous and beautiful gift you have for one of our lucky listeners. Cause I feel like much of what we’ve been talking about today feels resonant with that.
Sarah: Ah, thank you. You’re going to help to help me with the title again.
Joni: Yeah. So it’s, Soft and Bold: the Feminine Approach to Ascension.
Sarah
Yes. So this entire year I’m doing a series called the Smiling Universe: Say Yes to Yourself. And it’s a series of six different modules each six weeks in length. And we meet for six weeks in a row or an hour and 15 minutes. And this module, which will be the fourth and the modules are independent. They’re the, they can be taken independently. And what we’re going to be addressing in this module is how would you be receptive and open and also be powerful in the world? Because sometimes people think of that as either or, or black and white, and they don’t know how to take that beautiful divine soft, receptive, part of themselves that gets filled with all this inspiration and wisdom and energy and vibrancy. And how do you titrate that into a powerful presence in the world?
How do you walk into that step by step, which again involves a lot of trust, but it’s a whole alchemical process that goes on within us. Because we’re never meant to just receive something and let it sit there. It’s like eating and never going to the bathroom or never digesting, You know? And so whatever we receive, we’re supposed to take into this amazing being that we are. We’re this huge transporter of being. I don’t know. We’re the most amazing mechanism in the world. And so we take in this great, beautiful inspiration and energy and then we’re meant to digest it and make it individually ours and bring it to the world. That’s what fulfills the process. So in this class, I’m trying to help bridge that gap between being a soft available receiver, how to transmit everything you’ve received and transform it into something that you can bring to life as an expression of your true self.
Joni
And so these are our live sessions with you, I’m assuming virtually, is that the case?
Sarah
Yes, it’s, it’s live. It’s over Zoom and each class has its own class page on my website and the recordings from the class are placed on that website. So you can download the recordings, you can have conversations with other people in the class during the week by typing in your comments and having a back and forth there. And I respond to the comments to keep the energy going during the week in between classes. And they’re very, energy full classes. So it’s not just information, but it’s a transmission that comes through in the class that makes it possible for your being to receive the download or the capacity to do what we’re actually talking about in class. So it’s a multidimensional event during the class.
Joni
