Sanctuary in the Storm

Sanctuary in the Storm

Hello My Dear, Are you having a full summer? Is life being kind to you? I’m at the start of two weeks away. A much needed trip to my favorite beach.   To be honest my summer has been plagued with uncertainty and Olympic levels of stress. One by one the pillars of my personal life have been shaken as I’ve watched each of those I hold most dear face terminal health issues or personal crises.   I’ve stood by and loved, listened, cared for, supported and came to recognize each of their fates was ultimately beyond my control. The ending of each of their stories was out of my hands. At times that feeling of powerlessness and uncertainty has felt brutal.   And other times absolutely absurd – just laughable – in it’s relentlessness and outrageousness. Like the day I was preparing to visit my mother with terminal cancer and father with dimenitia only to end up in the ER waiting to see if my husband’s chest pains were from indigestion or a heart attack. (Thankfully the former.) But that wasn’t clear until we sat in the unknown for a few hours waiting for test results.   At that point I was ready to pen a cease and desist letter to Universe. Like enough already!   At one time or another we all face seasons of stress, challenge or upheaval when it can feel like all we can do is show up and keep going as Life plays dodge ball with you.At those times it can be tempting to hunker down, engage our defenses and thicken our skin...

A video for you: Can you see the value and beauty within your own nature?

My Dear Sister, We each come to recognize the value and beauty of our Feminine nature in our own unique way. It’s my honor and delight to share my story with you through a recent conversation with my friend and colleague, Reba Linker. Reba, is perhaps like you, on her own journey of discovering the Divine Feminine. During our talk she had a powerful revelation about gravity that is sure to expand the way you look at the Feminine. It did for me. Even though we touched on a number of facets we were just getting started. It’s a conversation I would love to continue and I hope you’ll join me. As you watch, receive our Truth and notice what it stirs and awakens within you. We each transmit and birth a unique facet of the Sacred Feminine that touches all we reach. You can watch that process in real time as both Reba and I have new revelations. It’s really quite beautiful. I would love to hear what a-ha or Divine Feminine pearl our conversation awoke in you, please share below. ...
5 Steps to Melt your Frozen Fear

5 Steps to Melt your Frozen Fear

Do you ever feel frozen by self-doubt or insecurity? Unable to progress even though all you want to do is move forward? I’m having one of those days. I’ve been trying to complete a project with my inner critic harping on me. It’s kept me stuck! It’s taking me a day and a half to accomplish something that would typically take a few hours.   I understand the incessant hammering of my critic was born from a protective impulse to keep me “safe” but it’s just not helpful. It turns my own power against me and it’s all based on F.E.A.R. (False Evidence Appearing Real)   She’s really quite a drama queen and alarmist!   I want to tell her it’s not that big of a deal (because it isn’t) and to chill out.   When I can step back and have some humor it does loosen her grip but when I’m in a frozen F.E.A.R. state I have the best success with a Sacred Feminine wisdom approach.   Here are the 5 Sacred Feminine Wisdom Steps to shift the frozen F.E.A.R.:   1. Slow down, take a deep breath and place your hand on your belly. Recognize there is an old belief or story fueling the F.E.A.R.  2. Take another deep breath. Sigh as you exhale. Open to curiosity. What is the belief fueling this? What is that old story about? Where does it live in your body? 3. Bring a gently breath to meet the feeling place in your body. Let your breath wash over the place of tension. 4. Feel your feet on the ground and...
A Gift of Spirit

A Gift of Spirit

My Dear Ones,   As we enter the season of presents and Presence I have two wonderful new resources to share with you. Two new books I’ve had the pleasure to explore and thought you would enjoy.   They are both useful tools to support you with the challenges we all face of feeling isolated, afraid, unlovable & vulnerable.   I want you to feel comfortable in your own skin and in love with yourself and your life.   Here are two useful tools I’ve enjoyed to help you on your journey.   First, I’ve been dipping into Me, Myself, & I ~ 28 Days of Creative Self-Love. A rich, new multi-media e-book by Cheryl Bridges. Harnessing your creativity, it takes you step by step through a process of growing your self-love.   In one of her creative inquiry exercises from Day 22, on connecting with Spirit to discover Who You Really Are, I had quite a powerful insight.   It began with remembering the many times in my life I have felt alone, disconnected, vulnerable and not enough. I then heard the voices of my teachers reminding me that ultimately you are not separate from all you see around you. It is our belief that we are separate that perpetuates the feeling of emptiness and lack. I thought, “ok, that’s great but how do I know I’m not separate. How do I feel the connectedness and be open to a sense of Oneness?”   To my pleasant surprise the exercise brought me right into the heart of my question. It took me through an experience of self-love to an endless...
